Thrak the Caveman: "Everyone's Ancestor"

OK, wrap your brain around this one. Today at work, my co-worker and friend, Glen and I were having a discussion. I said that everyone's family trees get larger as you go up. 2 parents...4 grandparents...8 great grandparents...etc. You get the picture.

So, it umbrella's out into this huge family tree. Everyone's does. But, here is the catch. Never in the history of the world has there been so many people. So, if everyone's family tree's branch out into huge umbrellas over the centuries...then at some point...the umbrella has to contract. Yes. And, overlap. It balloons out and then centuries ago...it really has to contract to a time when there were not that many people around. Small towns and incest a plenty.

So...in that sense...you can say that everyone is related in some way....way down the line...thousands of years ago. Is it Mitochondrial Eve? Perhaps it happened back when Pangaea was around?

Nope. None of that.

To Glen....it was Thrak. The caveman that we all descended from. Yes...we ALL lived in Thrak's nuts...hypothetically speaking.

So, I had to draw him. Our first Dad.

Yes. I know this was deep. Just take two Ambien and you'll be asleep before you know it. Remember...father Thrak is watching.

Finished Size: about 2" x 3"
