Nightmare on Elm Street. I saw this when I was 7...and I probably should not have. This movie gave me nightmares, and the music sent chills down my spine. And...I will always love it. Freddy scared the crap out of me for years...before he became a complete horror caricature with stupid sequels. In 2nd grade, I drew a picture of his knives-glove, and it was a hit at school. My dad made copies of it on legal sized paper at his work, and I gave them to my friends...who hung them in their rooms. That was one of the first instances that my artistic talent became something that people desired. After that, it was, John, can you draw me this, etc. It was fun. What else can I say. But really...a second grader handing out drawings of Freddy's knives?
Boy, how things have changed. I'm glad I was able to enjoy things like that. Hey, I turned out well, right?

OMG, Freddy was a favorite of mine, too! I agree, the sequels all became sequentially more lame. lol
So funny about your drawing; too bad you don't still have it! Can you imagine what the teachers would say now? My middle son drew a bunch of clone troopers battling... whoever the hell they battle... with their laser gun thingies (Ok...not a big Star Wars buff, lol). Anyway, point is, I saw that one come through and was surprised I didn't get a phone call. lol
This is a GREAT likeness of Freddy. So awesome. Make sure you hang onto all of your drawings for M to have some day!
P.s. You are welcome for the plug, and I'm glad you don't think I'm a net-nut! :)
