2600 80's Egg

The Atari 2600, oh how I love thee. You were such a vital part of my childhood. Because of you, I grew up into a videogame kid. I couldn't tell you how much time I spent playing a terrible, yet awesome rendition of Pac-Man, Combat and Asteroids (my personal favorite). You rocked my world. And, this Egg will explode because of your awesomeness.

This is your Brain

Anyone Not remember this commercial?

It's hard to forget this one. But, if you cracked open an egg and saw a little brain in it, I imagine your breakfast would be ruined...unless you love that sort of thing.

Commodore 16 Egg

This really brings me back. Back to a time when a computer hooked up to your black and white TV. When you had a huge book filled with Spaghetti Code that you would spend hours entering only to find out that it either didn't work...OR...just gave you a gnarly ASCII wave that sped down your screen in 1 second. Now THAT was elation.

There was just this feeling of empowerment when as a kid I was able to manipulate a machine and make cool things (they were really Rad at the time) appear on my TV. Sure, it was nerdy. But, damn did I feel awesome. And...so does this egg. He's living the high life for sure.

In case you were wondering, the Egg's code reads:

"Ready
10 This Sucks
20 Go To 10
30 Still Sucks
40 Go To 30
50 This Won't Work
Run"

I know what you are saying, "Stupid Egg, that won't work." Well, I think he is fully aware off that. This is just his "frustration code." You know, the code you enter when you are at your wit's end...or the random swear word you enter in Google when you don't know what to type. You know it won't amount to anything, but you do it anyway. Good luck, Egg. You tell that Commodore who's boss. And, at that time, it was probably Tony Danza.

Garbage Pail Egg

One of the favorite memories of my childhood is getting several packs of Garbage Pail Kids (1st series) each week with my allowance and opening those suckers up. Pure joy. When I found a rare card, I just about crapped myself. And, right now, I still have my complete 1st series packed away. I can't believe that it has been 25 years. Wow.

How lucky is this egg to be vomited on by Richie Retch...or was is Luke Puke?

Madballs Egg

Oh my God, I loved Madballs. They were completely pointless back in the 80's, and they were...COMPLETELY...AWESOME!!!

What were they? Odd looking balls. What did they do? Ball-stuff. That was...pretty much it. But...they looked AWESOME! So, take THAT, stupid modern balls...like that lame gravity defying one. So dumb.

The commercial says that they were "freaky fun," and yeah...I tend to agree. They can also break basement windows pretty easily as well.

Captain Lou Egg

Go Here to find out more about Captain Lou Albano. I was not a big wrestling watcher in the early 80's, but certain guys transcended that "sport." He was one of them. Hell, he even played Mario AND Cyndi Lauper's Dad! You don't get better than that. And, I always wanted to wear rubber bands on my face because of him. Thanks captain. We'll miss your rubber bands.

Teddy Ruxpin

I never had you Teddy Ruxpin. And, this commercial made you so appealing...and dark.

Well, this 80's Egg was lucky enough to get you, and I hope he never lets go. Tell us a story Teddy. I think I'll put in a cassette of "Lady Chatterly's Lover." That should be interesting. I'll go pop the popcorn. You bring your sultry voice.

Headband on Egg

Why? I have no idea. It just happened. But, as I look at this, it's pretty obvious that this is a huge egg. And, it seems that he must be a big fan of the 80's. Headbands were huge back then.
